IMPACTS

As a young CSO in the state, ENetSuD has made tremendous impacts in its little years of existence in Kwara State. Some of these include:

  1. Tracking more than 500 capital and constituency projects of 2018 in Kwara that worth over fifty (50) billion naira.
  2. Successful tracking of 171 constituency projects in the state (https://bit.ly/381GCtL).
  3. Our activities and petitions to the EFCC led to completion of Barakat Community drainage in Ilorin West LGA, a 2017 constituency project of Federal Government (https://bit.ly/2FOvbtm).
  4. Our petition to the ICPC led to recovery of the money released for the construction of Peke-Temidire road that was not executed by the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) and return of the fund to the Federation Account (https://bit.ly/35REhjQ).
  5. Our efforts have retrieved tractor from a Federal lawmaker who kept it for personal use and refused to hand it over to his constituency members after receiving it from NCAM.
  6. Our efforts led to the timely handover of a grader by a Federal lawmaker who received it from PRODA.
  7. The Ajibesin Community LGEA school was completed following our activities and intervention.
  8. We retrieved Hilux bus for the constituency from a Federal lawmaker who diverted it for personal use after receiving it from Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority.
  9. We retrieved instructional materials for the constituency from a Federal lawmaker who diverted it for personal use after receiving it from Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority (see: https://bit.ly/38aEv72, https://bit.ly/38exl1P, https://bit.ly/2FV7G1O).
  10. Patigi-Tamkpafu road in Patigi was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  11. Patigi-Godiwa road was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  12. Patigi-Gudugi road was completed (except for a bridge captured as culvert) according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  13. Ragada-Edogi-Kpansanako road was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  14. Patigi-Rifun road has completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  15. Lade-Sakpefu road was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  16. Gbaradogi road was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  17. Offa-Ojoku-Afon road was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  18. Afon-Okesho-Ojoku-Ikotun road was completed according to specification following our activities and interventions.
  19. The completed but non-functional borehole in Oke-Oyi, Ilorin East was repaired following our intervention and now serving the communities.
  20. The remaining part of Okuta Dam in Baruten LGA was completed following our intervention.
  21. The remaining part of Yashikira Dam in Baruten LGA was completed following our intervention.
  22. Some failed parts of Share-Patigi road are being re-constructed following our activities and interventions.
  23. The technical fault in Olojoku borehole project in Ilorin was corrected following our activities and interventions.
  24. Our petition against the Federal Ministry of Environment on Sapati road is under investigation by the EFCC (https://bit.ly/35NClZG).
  25. Our petition against the Federal Ministry of Environment on Oja Gboro drainage and Erosion Control project is under investigation by the EFCC (https://bit.ly/3a9HPkA).
  26. Our petition against the Federal Ministry of Environment on Abata Sunkere drainage and Erosion Control project is under investigation by the EFCC and ICPC (https://bit.ly/36RzVui).
  27. Our investigation against Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) on Skill and Entrepreneurship training in Ilorin is under investigation by the EFCC and the ICPC (https://bit.ly/384cMVw).
  28. Through our #FundKwaraEducation advocacy, we have been able to encourage the present KWSG to pay the UBEC counterpart fund to improve the standard of educational structures in the state.
  29. Our advocacy on the Ilorin Water Reticulation project has contributed to the improved access to water in the cit.
  30. Our Radio and Television programmes and social medial activities have improved the consciousness in the citizens on issues surrounding the execution of capital and constituency projects in the state. This has empowered a lot of citizens to follow and monitor the execution of projects in their communities (see enetsud.org/radio-programs).
  31. In terms of capacity building, we have trained over 50 volunteers in various LGAs of the State on modalities of project tracking, monitoring and evaluation through the use of experts in various fields. Theses volunteers are adding more value to the system.
  32. ENetSuD, as an indigenous organization, is the first in the state advocating for the domestication of FOI Act in the state by sponsoring FOI bill in the last 8th assembly which was passed by them (see enetsud.org/?s=FOI).
