You have actualized our 2-year #AccessUBECGrant campaign, ENetSuD lauds AbdulRazaq

Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), a Kwara-based Civil Society Organization, is pleased to receive the news that the accumulated matching grant of Kwara State with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has been accessed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government (KWSG). ENetSuD added that its #AccessUBECGrant and #FundKwaraEducation campaigns that were launched in 2018 under the past administration have just been actualized by the present administration.

ENetSuD noted that the only thing that differentiated the past and the present administrations on the UBEC grant is the priority that the latter attached to it, as the counterpart fund paid by this administration to access the grant could have also been used for another equally important project. That AbdulRahman-led KWSG has committed ₦7,151,142,190 to access another ₦7,151,142,190 accumulated in UBEC since 2013 indicates that nothing is impossible with political will and government priority.

ENetSuD charges Governor AbdulRahman to ensure transparency and accountability in the spending of the 14.3 billion naira on Kwara public schools, starting from the procurement processes. ENetSuD pledges to track how the money will be spent by the government in the collective interest of Kwarans.
