First and all regards to the present Administration.
The prospect of revenue collection is willingness of the people to pay and the brouhaha is the unwillingness of eligable taxpayers to pay.
If you like spend and waste fund on computerazation and tax data base if you aren’t mindful of principles of revenue (taxes&levies) there would be avoidance which is legal.
My project years back was on the aforementioned prospect and problem.
Note that kwara state is a civil servant state industrial growth trade and investment can’t b compared to Lagos,Kano, Anambra, portharcourt,Delta,Edo,ogun,Oyo,kaduna and plateau states otherwise we will accommodate non compliance and face litigation as u know most operators are kwarans if they can established there coy in there state of origin and the present govt does assist with incentives what is there capital gains from there state of origin.2.they create employment pay taxes accure and the ones the concerns their operations and services so what else .
Should they subject themselves to government obnoxious and ambiguous policies, should they double and multiple pay.
When gov has never encourage tax holidays.
Taxes are money pay to govt on certain goods and services..so taxes and levies are use to discourage investment and trade.if I may ask is that the reason for the present revenue consolidated bill.
Some miscreants and avarice might be bhind this project.afterall Fed govt has a stipulated act and decree that allocate each portion of taxes & levies to the 3tiers of Govt.
Conclusively,I will suggest the govt meet with stake holders to fine tune the prosperit of the existing and extant laws on revenue generation.i foresee chaos and future disaster that encourage tax avoidance which is legal.
