WHAT WE HAVE DONE
- We have written Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to ALL the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) that executed the 2017 Zonal Intervention Projects (ZIPs) in Kwara state. Particularly, the following MDAs were written by us:
- Universal Basic Education Commission
- Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development
- Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority
- Federal Ministry of Environment
- Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria
- National Center for Agricultural Mechanisation
- Nigeria Film Corporation
- Project Development Institute (PRODA)
- Energy Commission of Nigeria
- Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute
- Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria
- In addition to these MDAs, we also copied all the legislators that nominated the ZIPs. This is to keep them informed of our ongoing monitoring of the projects that they nominated on our behalf as citizens of Kwara that they are representing
- We have started a campaing tagged #FollowKwaraMoney on radio programs and social media (Twitter and Facebook). This campaign has been sensitising people on the need to be involved in the monitoring of the projects funded by their taxes and other public funds. We have also been strongly advocating that #KwaraMoneyMustWorkForKwarans, and not for few elites and cabals
- We have engaged the Kwara state government on many areas of governance through various press statements released by us. Many of these are available at the News menu of our website
